TV Shows – What I have decided

So, as many of you know… if you have read my blog before, is that I have extremely many tv shows to watch. It is just crazy, and I sometimes feel so stressed out when I just see them piling up and it doesn’t look like I am able to get through any of them.

So, when I got my TV Show/Movie Bullet Journal I started picking out 1 TV Show to watch every single month (not that I have been particularly good at that). However, some of the TV Shows are shorter, with maybe only 1 season. And then I might have to pick something else as well.

I add anything I would like to watch, and that makes it a lot. Seeing that I have over 1800 added TV Shows is a lot. And that is why I have decided that I need to change up how I watch things.

I am the person who starts 20 different TV Shows, and then having trouble actually watching them, because I find something else to watch. That is why I am setting myself a rule.

I am not the person who have kept up to date with TV Shows, so all kinds of different stuff that is currently airing (Riverdale, Outlander, NCIS: Los Angeles, etc.) I am not up to date with.

The rule I have set myself is: I am only allowed to watch 3 different TV Show at the time.
Number 1: The TV Show I pick out from my TV Show box every month. Where I will do my best to finish at least 1 season (where there are multiple season), or wrap up a show (if there are only 1 season).
Number 2: A TV Show that is finished, where they no longer produce any episodes.
Number 3: A TV Show that is not finished, that they are still producing episodes to.

This will make it easier for myself to do a few things:

  • Finish TV Shows as a whole. Where I can watch every season without a stop.
  • Catch up on TV Shows that I find exiting that are currently airing.
  • Find new favorite shows that I might want to continue on with.
  • Keep myself contained and not start too many TV Shows so there are too many of them to continue on.

So, you may wonder, what TV Shows am I watching. I have a few ones in mind. This month is soon over, so why don’t we just start talking about the TV Shows I will watch in May.

So the TV Show I have picked out from my TV Show box is Blindspot, I will start with season 1 and see how I like it. Then for my show that no longer produce episodes I need to watch Baywatch, I have until October 15 to watch 11 seasons, so this is the first TV Show I will watch until I am done. The TV Show I will watch that is currently still in production will be Riverdale, just because I have already started that.

So, there you have it. My TV Show plans. I may not be able to keep it all the time, but I hope I will be able to keep it for the most part. I still have my past TV Shows that I haven’t watched. Like Dirty John, Looking for Alaska and Hanna, so they will still be on my watching list, and I need to watch them, so I might have to start with those before Blindspot.

TV Show Plans

So, every single month I have some plans of which TV Shows I want to start, and I try not to have too many. It doesn’t always work out the way I plan to, and sometimes I end up watching something totally different than I was planning to.

Every single month I pull out a piece of paper with a TV Show on. And if I don’t watch what I am supposed to the tv show is carried on to the next month. I also try to pick some others to watch, because I have so many to watch, like 1800 or something.

Dirty John is a tv show I have carried over all the way from January. I don’t know why I haven’t watched it. It might be because I don’t know what I am walking into with this tv show.

For March now I have Looking for Alaska. I just read the book this year, and now I can’t wait to dive into this tv show. I just need to find a time where I’m not reading, because I think this tv show will be one of those where I can only watch.

These are the tv shows I need to get done. I have a few I want to keep on watching. For example:

Riverdale. This is not my favorite show, there is much weird stuff happening. I used to watch this tv show a lot, but I stopped in season 2. I don’t know why I chose to continue on now, but I have figured out that the tv show is a good background while I read.

Masterchef Australia. So, I am almost finished with season 3, and then I will watch the All Star season before continue on with the other seasons. I usually use this a background, but I like to see how the stakes get higher for every season. And I want to get up to date, and see how the new judges are. And I know what the next season will follow.

Ragnarok. So, I haven’t started this yet, but it is a Norwegian show, and it has some of the actors from Skam in it. I used to love Skam back in the day. I want to see how it is. And it has been renewed for a second season.

Skam. Talking about Skam. I want to see this one again. It is some time since I last watched it, and now I am ready to get back into it.

I think I am stopping myself there. I have a lot of movies to watch too. Every month I usually have some thoughts about what I want to watch, and planning out what to watch I feel that I get more organized, and are able to watch more.

Tv Time

I don’t know how many times I have talked about TV Time. But I just didn’t have anything else to write about.

I think I can call this app one of my favorites. What I love about it is the organization I can do with my TV Shows and Movies. This makes my wrap ups at the end of the months much easier. And when I find a new Tv show to watch, I can just add it in there.

I like that I am able to see how much time I am using watching both tv shows and movies, I don’t want to spend too much time, but I would also like to be able to finish every single one of the tv shows I am adding, but I don’t think that will ever be possible.

I like that you can see how many shows you have added on there, I have currently 1823 shows added, so that is quite a lot. So, I find it funny to see the average age of the fans who have added the shows I have too, mine is at 28.6 years, so it’s quite a lot more than my 22 years, so I definitely watch a lot of tv shows that older people watch.

I like that some of them have quizzes you can answer, and even though I suck at quiz, I still find them very entertaining to do when then come up.

You can also see the remaining episodes you have left, I have 5211, so I have extremely many. It also says on average how many episodes of tv shows you see a week, I am watching 29.9 episodes a week, and in this particular speed I will finish all my tv shows 16 December 2024, so still a long time to go.

I watch a lot of tv shows at the same time, and I find this app to be most helpful, I have it all written down. But also if it is a series I don’t watch too often, or I take a break from the series, it is easy to pick up where you left off, you simply just open the app and then you find the tv show you are looking for and you can just start where you left off.

You can also follow people, and you can see how much time they have used on watching tv and then it is made a list out of the people you follow. I like to see where on the list I am, and you kind of compete a little to be on the top of the list.

If you want to follow me on this app feel free to add me, I usually add people back.

I have to high hopes for the next year

So, I have started to plan out my new year, and I have to say… it is starting to get a lot. For my books, I am hoping to read 100, which is 8,3 books every single month. I am thinking that it’s not a problem, but only time will tell. I hope I can do it! With Bookopoly I think it will be much easier to choose from a wide range of books, and be able to choose different sizes.
On the movie and tv show side of things, I am also hoping to watch 100 movies, which is a lot. And I know it is, but I hope to do it. That means that every single month I am doing my Bullet Journaling I will pick out 8-9 books from my box, and watch them that month. That will be much better than to pick out one movie each week. Because then I can choose when I want to watch them.
For TV Show, I have 15 series, that have from 4 to 15 seasons. Will I be able to do it? Probably not. But I am way to confident.

Movie vs Tv Shows

Now I have been doing this thing for weeks, I think it is maybe a few months. I watch one movie each week and choose one tv show for each week. I am starting to love movies again, I have to say. Right now I have just been watching so many anime shows, and I am just lacking in the tv show watching. The perfect choice would be if I got one anime show one week and the next week I would watch something else. I am really missing some crime shows or something in my life. I have been thinking about that these last weeks when I only have gotten anime shows, that I miss watching something different. Something that just gets me sucked into the show, like Criminal Minds, Frontier, Bones, CSI, Pretty Little Liars, Heartland, Skam, Baywatch… just something.

However, I have decided to keep myself to the show I get assigned that week. Sometimes it is really difficult. And I have to say… I have seen one episode of the show I was supposed to see. It is not that I don’t like it… I just think I am burned out of anime shows. Let’s hope for something else next week, or else I’m gonna cry!

Right now I feel like a movie is easier to watch. Just because I can just set of like 1 hour and 30 minutes till 2 hours and be done with it.

I actually have changed my mind about movies, before I liked tv shows because I loved being able to spend a lot of time with the same characters, and I still do. But I just think I am in a movie mood for the moment.

TV Shows that blows my mind

So, this is something new I think I want to try out. There are sometimes I watch something, and it just blows my mind of how much I love it! A good tv show for me, is a TV show that keeps me interested and makes me want to watch the next episode.

So, a few weeks ago I decided to choose one tv show and one movie to watch every week. Now, I am on my 3rd week, and on my 4th tv show. So the first tv show I want to talk about is the first one I watched, the one I watched in a day. And that is because I didn’t have this blog when I first saw that tv show. And I have to say, those 11 episodes of that anime was amazing. I watched the whole thing in one day, just binge-watched the whole thing. And that is no something I often do!

The first show I watched was Anohana – The Flower We Saw That Day.

I have to say, I didn’t expect to like it this much!

Let’s talk a little bit about what it is about first:

Jinta “Jintan” Yadomi is peacefully living as a recluse, spending his days away from school and playing video games at home instead. One hot summer day, his childhood friend, Meika “Menma” Honma, appears and pesters him to grant a forgotten wish. He pays her no mind, which annoys her, but he doesn’t really care. After all, Menma already dies years ago.
At first, Jinta thinks that he is merely hallucinating due to the summer heat, but he is later on convinced that what he sees truly is the ghost of Menma. Jinta and his group of childhood friends grew apart after her untimely death, but they are drawn together once more as they try to lay Menma’s spirit to rest. Re-living their pain and guilt, will they be able to find the strengh to help not only Menma move on – but themselves as well?

This anime got me to feel all my emotions. It was easy to understand what was going on, and you slowly got to know what happened to Menma. I like that you get to see how all the characters feel about this, seeing how they react to everything, and what happens when everything they are trying to forget are dragged up again. I also like that you get to see Menma’s family, and see how they are doing.

If you have never seen an anime, this is a good show to start with. Now, I haven’t been watching too much anime in my life, but I know that there are some pretty complex anime shows out there. This show is rated TV-PG, so I will advice you to maybe watch this show first if your child wants to see it, because for me, being 22 I don’t react the same way to things. So for my taste, this is nothing. And what your child is allowed to see and not, and how much a child is ok with seeing, that is not up for me to say.
